Youth Pride Durham

Youth Pride Durham returns on June 22

Attendees exploring the Resource Village at a previous Youth Pride Durham Celebration. Youth Pride Durham is a safe, inclusive celebration for youth, children and families who are part of 2SLGBTQI+ communities. Allies are also welcome!

This free event champions acceptance through an afternoon of electrifying live performances from Sofonda and Wilma; catchy tunes from DJ Psi; face painting, a photo booth and a forum for community organizations and agencies to gather in the Resource Village. Bring your reusable water bottles and stay hydrated at our water station.

Durham Alliance Outreach

The only 2SLGBTQI+ food pantry in the region will be on-site collection donations. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and donate your non-perishable food items!

The Resource Village

The Resource Village brings together community service organizations from across the Durham Region to share information about the programs and supports they offer to 2SLGBTQI+ communities of all ages.

Drag Queen Storytime

Drag Queen Storytime offers free, family-friendly storytime programming at public libraries throughout the Durham Region in celebration of diversity and inclusion.

Join us at our “Outrageous!” event honouring local queer history and supporting Pride Month in Durham. We’re thrilled to present a private screening of the iconic film “Outrageous!” (1977), starring the incomparable Craig Russell, a true luminary in our community.

Let’s celebrate his legacy and vibrant tapestry of queer culture through this cinematic journey.

Brian Bradley author of Outrageous Misfits, the biography of Craig Russell and wife Lori Russell Eadie will be speaking about his research and signing copies of his book.

20 lucky attendees will receive their free copy of Outrageous Misfits personalized by the author.

This is a free event but we will be taking donations on behalf of the AIDS Committee of Durham.
